The fees for those tests will be determined by the laboratory or hospital where they are undertaken and charged directly to you, or your private medical insurer by the lab/hospital.
Smears and swabs taken by Mr Miskry during a consultation at 148 Harley Street are sent to The Doctors Laboratory (TDL), the lab processing fees for these tests will be charged to you by TDL so please check specific prices with Gail or with TDL directly.
Cancellation of appointment
Should you need to cancel an appointment please contact the practice as soon as possible. If this is within 24hours of your consultation there may be a cancellation fee.
Private Medical Insurance
If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation or surgery to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation or surgical fees.
Mr Miskry is recognised by all the private medical insurers although some of them limit the fee they will reimburse you for treatment, you are responsible for any fees not covered by your insurer.
We can invoice most UK based insurance companies directly, please provide membership details and an authorisation code at the time of your appointment.
We do not deal directly with any branches of Cigna, patients insured with this specific company will be asked to pay, and a receipt provided to claim reimbursement.
Although patients may book an appointment without a referral, some insurance companies may require you to have been referred by a GP in order to submit a claim.
Gynaecological Surgery
Mr Miskry operates at:
King Edward VII’s Hospital
The Lindo Wing
OneWelbeck
When considering private surgery as a self-funding patient there are three costs to consider:
1 Hospital fees
Patients are sent an estimate of costs for the proposed procedure by the relevant hospital, either The Lindo Wing, KEVII’s Hospital or OneWelbeck. Fees are paid to the hospital.
2 Mr Miskry’s surgical fee
Patients are invoiced by, and pay our practice.
3 Anaesthetist’s fee (all surgery under general anaesthetic)
Fees vary slightly depending upon the anaesthetist booked, patients are invoiced by and pay the anaesthetist.
All fees must be paid in full prior to admission. If there is any change in the procedure carried out, or length of hospital admission, the final invoice may be higher or lower than quoted.
